“Boys and girls, I regret to inform you that one of our
students has passed on. We will hold a memorial
for Michael Dobson during assembly the Friday”. Pg. 3
This quote is about when a student killed himself. One of Michael’s neighbor heard the gunshot
and couldn’t believe that he killed himself.
My brother came to school that day and picked me up because I couldn’t
stop crying. He took me to McDonald’s to
get it out of my system before our dad got home. He made jokes that day and taught me how to
paly pinball.

This quote is about what happened in the guidance counselor
office. There was a whole group that
went including Charlie. She never met
this man before who called himself a specialist. Charlie told the guidance counselor that Michael
was a nice guy and that she didn’t understand why he did it. She also told him that she was really sad and
she didn’t understand why. She was still
crying and she never did stop crying.
“The counselor said that he suspected that Michael had “problems
at home””. Pg. 4
This quote if about what the counselor thought why Michael
did it. Charlie started screaming at the
counselor stating that Michael could have told to her. The counselor told Charlie to calm down that
made Charlie cry hardier. So Charlie
brother came and picked Charlie up.
After that the teachers treated Charlie different by giving Charlie
better grades but it didn’t get Charlie any smarter.

This quote is about how Charlie started to think that
Charlie had problems at home. Charlie
thought that people had it a lot worse.
Charlie thought that there isn’t a favorite kid in the family. The older brother is going to Penn State to
play football, younger sister really pretty and Charlie gets all “A’s” in
school. Charlie’s dad works a lot and is
an honest man. Charlie’s mom cries
during certain tv programs.
“You’re hurting you Aunt Helen’s feelings” Pg. 5-6
This quote is about how Charlie’s dad slapped Charlie for
making Aunt Helen cry. Aunt Helen was
very upset that Charlie got slapped and Aunt Helen told Charlie’s father never
to hit Charlie again when she was there.
Charlie’s father said that it was his house and he would discipline his
kids the way he so fit. Charlie doesn’t remember
much after that because she was crying hardier after her dad and mom told her
to go to her room. Later when she got up
Charlie’s mom was drinking wine and told her what happened to her sister.
